Bathers Way

Walking and cycling track bring the beach closer to the people. Rejuvenating the south coast of Newcastle, The Bathers Bay aims on increasing attraction via kiosks throughout the walk whilst the path surrounds the new skatepark. Increase the accessibility to the Newcastle beaches, the 4 to metre wide shared path will allow for all ages and abilities to use and enjoy the views.

Westmead Hospital

The new Central Acute Services Building (CASB), which is the centrepiece of the Westmead Redevelopment, is the first hospital in NSW to provide comprehensive health services for children and adults. It will be a joint facility with The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Western Sydney Local Health District, and the University of Sydney when it opens in early 2021, providing high-quality healthcare.

Scallabrini Village

The intent of this project was to interlace and weave the old and new in a seamless fashion, as the new expansion of the facilities heavily juxtaposes with the existing structures. This transition between the old chapel and the new tall white buildings also allowed for room for a custom – built tailored approach.

Lindfield Learning Village

Lindfield Learning Village is a former UTS Ku-Ring-Gai campus that holds historical significance, influencing the second half of 20th century Australian architecture. Sydney experienced high levels of residential suburban expansion in the 1960s in and around North shore. The difficult of the rocky and slop terrain of the North Shore had been a challenge that was hard to overcome.

USYD Business School

As the needs of students change with time, universities and facilities should also begin to change and evolve. In light of this University of Sydney has constructed a Business School building to incorporate 21st century learning. To facilitate growth in collaboration and social learning, the architecture features a centrally – located social spine.

The Vue

Draping the apartment building with glass façade, it is at it’s pinacol of beachside luxury. Upon entering the salience of the double volume lobby echoes. Surrounding this void is limestone and featured formed concrete comprising the architecture with natural colour pallet.

Sharks Leagues Club – Woolooware Bay

Woolooware Bay Town Centre unifies the retail and residential space with the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks football ground. With this unification comes 650 apartments with 17,000m2 of retail, health, and hospitality space.

Warringah Freeway Upgrade

Construction has begun for the upgrade of the 3 kilometre freeway. Set to complete by 2025, the upgrade aims to ease traffic congestion with increased connectivity and also increasing the reliability of the freeway.

Collaborating with John Holland, Kontro Group is currently working to remove contaminated soil through the stretch of the freeway.

New Sydney Fish Market

The New Sydney Fish Market project is a redevelopment project for the Sydney Fish Market to transform into a communal amenity that is a cultural destination. It is an ongoing project and set to be completed by 2024.

Kontro Group is currently removing material containing friable asbestos as part of this project with Multiplex Construction.

CDC Data Centre Expansion

This project was focused on the expansion of the EC1 building and refurbishment of the existing building.

This expansion required part demolition of the building (exterior walls) and interior strip out of the building.

As engaged by Hindmarsh Construction, Kontro Group completed the mentioned tasks in a timely manner whilst staying within budget.
